25 years ago, back in the 2000s, when the whole world was holding its breath waiting for the “Y2K problem” and a worldwide computer meltdown, two students decided to start a company called DeeP.
It was a time of dreamers and visionaries, creating companies in garages, living off quick homemade sandwiches.
We, Pavlo Terletskyy and Roman Cheryba, were exactly that – full of drive, inspiration, and a strong belief in the future of tech and innovation. From the very start, our focus was on helping Ukraine’s IT sector grow. DeeP kicked things off by building and improving digital solutions locally – but we weren’t just following trends, we were setting them. Instead of sticking to cookie-cutter approaches, we helped companies take their first real steps into the world of innovation. We were pioneers, part of that global digital shift, coming up with ideas and solutions that eventually became industry standards.
This has been incredibly inspiring for us. We loved (and still love) what we do.
And to this day, our approach hasn’t changed. We’re not just developers; we’re partners. We work alongside our clients, helping them on their journey toward success and scalability.
By the late 2000s, the Ukrainian market was starting to feel a bit too small for us. Our ambitions were bigger. Our mindset and approach to development naturally reached beyond the local scene, finding their way to the US and Europe. We rebranded DeeP, adding “Inspire” to our name. DeepInspire isn’t about lines of code or billing developer hours. It’s about inspiration. It’s about using that inspiration as our compass, guiding us and our clients toward innovation and success. As technical partners, we advise, find solutions, optimize, and empower our clients to become stronger and more competitive, staying ahead of the curve – and sometimes even outpacing both time and their competitors.
We grew. More like-minded visionaries and dreamers joined us. Together, we had the chance to make the world a better place. And we’re incredibly grateful to our core team. You’re amazing! Walking through life side by side with you makes everything feel secure and incredibly enjoyable. Our core team is crucial to DeepInspire because, for us, people are everything. The knowledge, expertise, and work philosophy in our team have stayed constant for decades. And we keep integrating the best of it. Some of our team members have been with us for 23, 20, 18, 15, 10 years. That’s something special. It’s a sign of trust, comfort, and the fact that we’re on the right path. Not every company can say that such high-level specialists, with years of experience and big visions, work together under one roof. But most of us here at DeepInspire are exactly that. 90% of our team are seniors, each with over 10 years of experience.
At the end of the day, it’s the people around you that matter most. Professionals who bring both hard and soft skills, providing outstanding service to our clients through teamwork. This has always been our truth. It’s been our philosophy, how we’ve lived, and how we’ve worked. We’ve always worked from the office. We value handshakes, shared coffee breaks, and birthday cakes. Personal conversations and shared moments outside work have always been part of our culture.
In 2020, the whole world shut down. We were all stuck at home, within four walls, as the pandemic took over. But we stayed true to who we were and faced the challenge head-on. We kept working, supported each other remotely, and even helped care for and save the lives of our teammates and their families. We became even more united and looked out for one another more than ever. That’s what kept the company going, while others were shutting down fast and unpredictably. We held strong – and we grew. We came out of it tougher, rethinking old approaches and adapting to a new reality.
By 2022, we were healthier and happier. Covid was no longer a threat. We were tougher and more resilient. Life was getting back on track, and there were exciting horizons ahead…
Then, on February 24, 2022, a man – a pathetic and insecure dictator, driven by a twisted desire to rebuild the Soviet Union – launched missiles at peaceful, thriving Ukraine. Our homeland. Our children. Our families. IT WAS A SHOCK! Even three years into the war, it’s still hard to grasp that such atrocities can happen in Europe in the 21st century. The Russian dictator continues his genocidal campaign against Ukrainians – simply because he can, and because he wants to.
Apologies for the previous paragraph. It’s emotional, but without context, it’s hard to understand what a company with an R&D center in Ukraine has gone through – and is still going through.
On the morning of February 24, when the smoke from the russian missiles was still hanging in the air, the missiles Russia had cowardly and unjustly fired at Ukraine’s peaceful, sleeping cities, we were all at work! We smiled at our clients, answered their questions, accepted their condolences, and calmed them down. Not ourselves, but them.
During the three years of war, we didn’t miss a single workday, meeting, or client call. We’ve been all in, working hard, and after work volunteering and donating to support Ukrainians and our army. Having work and stability for the future is incredibly important to us. Our projects and work are what keep us going and remind us that life moves forward!
THANK YOU to all our clients for your unwavering support, for keeping projects alive and working with us through it all. In the midst of despair and injustice, you were the ones who lent us a shoulder to lean on and helped us hold up the sky! We will never forget it. You did more for us than you’ll ever know – YOU SAVED OUR FAITH IN LIFE!
None of our clients has walked away because of the risks of war, but we’re always focused on keeping both our safety and theirs a top priority. We became energy-independent, with a fleet of generators, Starlink, and all the necessary tools to keep working. Lviv, our home city, is in the West of Ukraine, 60 kilometers from the Polish border. Berlin is closer to us than the frontline. It’s as safe and calm as possible here. That’s why clients and partners continue to visit us for meetups. It keeps us motivated and inspired. We’re still at the top of our game, delivering expert services consistently.
This letter from the founders of DeepInspire was supposed to be a story about the company. But we love how it ends: with gratitude and faith in the future. Life is tough, but with an incredible team and amazing clients, we can overcome anything. And in the process, we keep giving back by improving the world – even in challenging times – with solutions and innovations that make our clients stronger and more successful.
Today, DeepInspire’s expertise spans everything from software development to AI and even quantum computing. Could Pavlo and Roman have imagined this 25 years ago? Probably not. But they dreamed so big that it became their reality.
Sincerely yours, grateful, inspired, and motivated,
The founders of DeepInspire,
Pavlo and Roman
